Aspen Publishing is seeking a Vice President of Digital Learning & Engagement to be a key member of our executive leadership team (ELT). Preference will be given to Boston based candidates who will work in our Burlington, MA, office with a hybrid office/work-from home schedule. You will collaborate closely with Editorial, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Customer Engagement, and Finance to ensure our educational technology strategy aligns with market needs and company goals.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the strategic vision, development, and implementation of digital learning solutions at Aspen Publishing; overseeing the Digital team, including technology product management, engineering, UX design, and digital content production; and leading cross-functional collaboration with departments across Aspen as well as external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with Aspen leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive educational technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with the company's goals and market trends.
- Product Development & Innovation: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of digital learning solutions, including interactive digital books and e-learning tools, online courses, adaptive learning platforms, and AI-driven content delivery.
- Leadership & Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing digital team, fostering innovation and professional growth.
- Technology Support and Integration: Ensure ongoing reliability and support of existing technology solutions for Aspen customers including proprietary and third-party technology solutions as well as Aspen’s eCommerce/branding website.
- Market & User Research: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital education to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Budget & Finance: Partner with executive leadership to set annual digital revenue and cost targets and ensure budgets are met.
- Data & Analytics: Leverage data analytics and user insights to optimize digital learning experiences and measure the impact of educational technologies.
- Compliance & Accessibility: Ensure all digital products meet accessibility standards, data privacy regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in educational technology, product management, digital learning, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful digital learning solutions.
- Strong understanding of learning science, instructional design, learning analytics, and emerging technologies such as AI and adaptive learning.
- Experience working with digital publishing technologies and LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Open edX).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to drive innovation while maintaining alignment with business objectives and revenue growth strategies.
